Hello Tibians,

In this thread we discuss only the bossfight against Arbaziloth. Everything not directly related to the fight goes to its own, dedicated thread!

After completing the queststeps up to the fight and talking to the NPC in the lever room you should have an idea of how to manage the fight.

The final boss battle demands a tactical approach; please note that the boss has a regular 20-hour cooldown, similar to other boss fights, though as usual it can be reset on the test servers.

On Thursdays at 18:00 European time I will be online to observe fights.

Please share feedback on the final boss fight with the instigator of the threat:
* feedback on mechanics
* difficulty
* rewards

As usual, stay constructive and respectful in your feedback.

Have fun testing!

Tibian regards,
Knightmare
Dear Tibians,

Thank you for your feedback on Arbaziloth. At the moment, we are looking into some of your suggestions for this boss and will share more information on this next week.

Over the weekend, please also feel free to test the new boss with different party sizes and share your experiences in this thread.

Have a pleasant weekend!

Best regards,
Ilyndor
Arbaziloth will now give a vocal cue whenever a sphere was removed.
The ambient Imps at the catapult can no longer be killed.
Dear Tibians,

As some of you have already noticed, you can influence the difficulty of the final phase against the new boss, Arbaziloth, based on how you deal with the Forgemaster.

If you allow the Forgemaster to survive until the last phase, he will retreat to his forge and grant you access if you manage to defeat the boss. In this scenario, Arbaziloth will fully heal and become more dangerous than if you had defeated the Forgemaster earlier.

The way you approach this boss fight will also influence the potential loot from Arbaziloth:

Normal Difficulty
  • Defeating Arbaziloth without the added challenge grants a chance to loot a base version of the new Inferniarch weapons.

Increased Difficulty
  • Taking on Arbaziloth at the higher difficulty, by sparing the Forgemaster, gives you a chance to loot the new helmets.

Now that you know how to influence the difficulty of this boss fight, we invite you to try both versions and share your feedback on your experiences.

Best regards, and happy testing!
Ilyndor
Hello,

Are these mutually exclusive, or do we still have a chance of dropping the weapons on Increased Difficulty?
Yes, they are indeed mutually exclusive. The new weapons can only drop from the normal boss variant and the helmets only from the hard boss variant.

Best regards,
Ilyndor
Dear Tibians,

We have made the following adjustments:

Twisterror, Gralvalon, Malvaroth
  • Changed loot to cooperative loot
  • Slightly reduced gold gain to accommodate this change

Arbaziloth
  • Added a number of thematic items to the loot table
  • Increased healing from Overcharged Demon Explosion

These changes should already be live. Please take a look and let us know what you think.

Best regards,
Ilyndor
Hello Tibians,
Maybe you could replace the strange helmet with a devil helmet, I've killed the boss a few times and didn't dropped the devil helmet which I think it would be more suitable, but it is fine anyways.
You might be able to drop a devil helmet from Arbaziloth as well if you keep trying.

At the moment, no further changes are planned for Twisterror, Gralvalon and Malvaroth.

Best regards,
Ilyndor
Hello Tibians,

Based on our data, the harder version of the Arbaziloth boss fight appears to be less challenging than intended. Given this and the added opportunity to obtain one Inferniarch base weapon of your choice at the Doomforge after 10 successful kills, we have decided to make the following adjustments:

  • Increased the damage output of the harder version of Arbaziloth
  • Added new attacks inspired by the three Inferniarch commanders: Twisterror, Gralvalon, and Malvaroth

The regular version of Arbaziloth will remain unchanged.
We invite you to try out these changes once they roll out on the testserver on Monday and to share your feedback with us.

Best regards,
Ilyndor
Hello Tibians,

Could it be confirmed that addon 1, addon 2, and mount items are explicitly determined by the battle difficulty?
- Easy: Inferniarch Weapons + Addon 1
- Hard: Helmets + Addon 2 + Mount
That is indeed correct.

Are there any plans to reduce the cooldown for summoning the 3 commanders?
No changes are currently planned in this regard.

Hey, would it be possible to change the Arbaziloth sprite in the bosstiary/podium to the version with spheres? It looks cooler.
We will look into that.

Best regards,
Ilyndor
