Topic: What's it about? (Which perk or gem effect)
Feedback: What is your feedback regarding this specific perk or gem

__________________________________________________

This is the thread to talk about all things Wheel of Destiny. The Wheel of Destiny for the Monk is designed similar to the other vocations and as such I'll only outline the unique perks. For all other perks please take a look ingame or in the Wheel of Destiny Planner.

New Conviction Perks:
Sanctuary
Using Spenders will leave behind an effect below the monk which grants 2% damage done and 2% healing recieved per Harmony spend.

Our vision:Sanctuary is designed to slightly change how a Monk moves to fully utilize its effect. However in turn it can grant quite the strong buff.

Guiding Presence
Allows the Monk to share Mantra with allies.
Our vision: This Perk allows the Monk to provide a significant defensive buff to its group. The effect of multiple Guiding Presences do not stack. Only the highest Mantra will be shared. Guiding Presence is on our watchlist for strong perks and might need tuning.

New Revelation Perks:
Spiritual Outburst
Spend all Harmony to deal damage to enemies in front and at the side of the monk after a delay.
Our vision: A powerful spell, however we are mostly watching how punishing the delay and long cooldown really is.

Ascetic
Boosts the Monks regular attacks, by adding a percentage of its Mantra as damage.
Our vision: Probably a weaker Revelation Perk, however it trades big bursts of damage for a constant stream of additional damage.
@King Adamo:Thanks, I'll take these into consideration.

why lesser gem of 200 hp and 200 mana in grade IV have only 260 hp and 260 mana instead of 300 hp and 300 mana that is 50% of gem bonus like the orthers vocations?
Thanks for bringing it up. This is wrong and will be increased to the correct 50% bonus values.
Does the field that is created by sanctuary affect other players or just the monk?
Just the monk. We'll adjust the description to better match its effect.

Topic: Wrong icons

Paladin cd reduction supreme mods got wrong icon. Should be hourglass icon.
Monk focus serenity and focus harmony missing hourglass icon
Thanks. We'll fix it.

There is no gem to boost self-healing. All other vocations have it, I suggest replacing one of the gem perks, most likely best candidate to remove is Focus Serenity CD reducing.
Thank you. I'll look into it and replace one of the others.

The Chained Penance perk on wheel of destiny that makes the spell supposedly hit +1 mob is bugged, almost always only hit 4 mobs instead of 5 that what it should hit with active perk
We'll take a look.

@Kusnier:
  • Mystic Repulse perks were added to possibly improve bossfights for the monk. With a Base Power of 95 its one of its highest hitting builders.
  • Spiritual Outburst: I've posted a rework here
  • Ascetic/Sanctuary: Both are arguably only better in static fights, like bosses.

In general I can understand your sentiment, that the wheel feels lacking for solo monks. I'll take it into consideration.

Thanks for the feedback,
Niadus
@Bobeek:
Ascetic:
I've increased the values to still provide solid damage for autoattacks.

Greater Flurry of Blows:
I disagree with your drawn parallels with groundshaker. Due to the nature of the Harmony-playstyle, reducing the cooldown of Greater Flurry of Blows will not lead to a reduced/smoother rotation.

Sanctuary:
I agree that this is not a bonus, that you can just unlock and forget about. There is one difference to Divine Empowerment: Sanctuary costs no mana and no cooldown. It just happens.

Augmented Chained Penance:
There are already new changes in the works for Chained Penance. Nevertheless I crunched the numbers and adding even more targets would make this probalby the strongest Wheel-Augment in the whole game.

@Serapis Seledian:
Focus Harmony & Focus Serenity:
I'll take a look at their cooldowns and Augments/Supreme Mods.

Thanks again for the feedback,
Niadus
@Bobeek:
When looking at Monk-Rotation, both Virtue of Harmony and Virtue of Justice/Sustain has to be considered. Virtue of Harmony only requires 4 builders, while both other Virtues require 5.
The current cooldown leads to the following rotations:
Virtue of Harmony: Greater Flurry, Chained Penance, Flurry, Chained Penance, Spender -> Repeat
Virtue of Justice/Sustain: Greater Flurry, Chained Penance, Flurry, Chained Penance, Flurry, Spender -> Repeat

Reducing it to 8 seconds only changes the Virtue of Justice rotation, leading to an imbalance:
Virtue of Harmony: Greater Flurry, Chained Penance, Flurry, Chained Penance, Spender -> Repeat
Virtue of Justice/Sustain: Greater Flurry, Chained Penance, Flurry, Chained Penance, Greater Flurry, Spender -> Repeat

Reducing it to 6 seconds changes it for both playstyles, however leads to a shifting position inside the rotation, which I wanted to avoid outside of Momentum.

Reducing it to 4 seconds would work for both rotations, but kind of defeats the purpose and is equal to removing one of its spells. Nevertheless this could be an option to allow Monks to decide between a full "Flurry"-Rotation and an alternating Rotation of Greater Flurry and Chained Penance.

@Edek Malin:
Thanks for your tests and providing relevant data. I agree with you and more changes for Spiritual Outburst are in order.
Additionally we'll take a look at the your Virtue of Harmony observation.

Regarding your Wheel of Destiny Planner Idea. It sadly is not in scope for this update.

Thanks for all the feedback,
Niadus
Greetings Tibians,

This thread will be closed shortly, as the test has concluded.

With the new changes to Mystic Repulse cooldown and it being reduced by harmony spent it feels a little underwhelming to have the 4s reduction in cd from the first augment in wheel.
@Frajzen
I agree that with a significant cooldown now applied to all spender spells during regular gameplay when using builders, the cooldown reduction augment for Mystic Repulse might feel a bit underwhelming. There are no particular changes to announce for now, but we will continue monitoring the situation.

Thank you all for your valuable feedback during the test phase! It's been a pleasure refining the monks Wheel of Destiny into a powerful tool for your future adventures.

Cheers,
Fluffey
