Dear Tibians,
Welcome to the Bounty Tasks thread.
Bounty Tasks are a new feature available through the new Taskboard interface.
Vision:
We aim to provide a meaningful and enjoyable alternative to your everyday hunts.
With Bounty Tasks, we hope that the combination of a substantial experience reward for completing a task and the opportunity to enhance a unique item with powerful upgrades against those creatures will inspire you to explore new hunting options or encourage you to complete your Bestiary.
This feature is not intended to replace or compete with any existing meta hunts.
Info:
You can choose the difficulty of the creatures you want to hunt.
The difficulty corresponds to the Bestiary categories but always includes two different difficulty levels to add more variety, with the exception of the Beginner difficulty.
The number of creatures you need to slay for each hunt is randomized every time you roll a task. There are defined minimum and maximum amounts, with higher difficulties requiring more kills.
Each task rewards you with a large amount of XP, Bounty Points and a Reroll Token.
One free Reroll Token can be claimed daily. You can only have a maximum amount of 10 Reroll Tokens in total.
Bounty Points allow you to permanently enhance your Bounty Ring. These upgrades are bound to your character.
The Bounty Ring grants unique effects against the creatures of your current Bounty Task when equipped.
Bounty Points can also be spent to set preferred and avoided enemies.
Creatures on your preferred list are more likely to appear as Tasks, while avoided enemies will never be selected.

Dear Tibians,
Thank you for your first feedback!
The Bounty Ring, on the other hand, is incredibly powerful (especially at higher levels) and provides significant bonuses. That's why we can't simply turn it into a passive ability or assign it to a new special slot.
We're considering the following change:
The Bounty Ring will permanently grant immunity to the drunken status.
It will no longer expire and will protect you from all monsters, not just those hunted during a Bounty Task.
To unlock this permanent effect, you would need to complete a small number of Tasks.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you for your first feedback!
However… I'm really bothered by the fact that the Bounty Ring needs to be equipped. Many creatures make us drunk. How can we hunt them without a Dwarven Ring?
I would like to highlight the idea of moving the Bounty Ring to other equipment slot as well thanks to the Drunk Status. We hear you. It's clear that the drunk mechanic effectively forces players to equip the Dwarven Ring in order to hunt comfortably in certain areas.

Currently you can only choose Common creatures in the Preferred List. This will mostly make a few creatures impossible to complete tasks, such as some creatures of the Warzone 2 and 3 for example, since they appear as Uncommon. We'll think about it, however, it's still quite likely that you'll roll your favourite creatures even if they aren't selected as preferred.
Please consider add a Banner when we finish the task.
Currently, there is no notification when we complete a task involving killing monsters. We'll look into adding a banner that appears when you land the final kill of a Task!
Thanks for the suggestion.
I would like to address the colors issue i see there..Thank you, we will look into this.
I know i might be strange, but since prey introduce we associate few colors with certain "bonuses" and i would like you to keep it the same way into the new tasks.
Help me here to understand if im doing something wrong, there are no more Hunting Tasks where you can choose the creatures from with wildcards? That's correct.
Can you tell us what is cap for bonuses that the Bounty Ring provides?I'll let you guess for a day. It's a significant grind at higher levels but offers great bonuses.
Can you consider adding option to get Bounty Points through assistant? For the moment, we prefer not to hand them out, as we'd like players to experience and enjoy the system first before revealing the fully maxed-out reward.
Can we have an option to increase the number of monsters required for daily tasksWe currently don't have any plans for this.
Could you consider adding an option to pick more than one task at a time? This won't be added.
The current achievements progress. I believe that each will follow the former categories (easy, medium, hard, with a new one for expert), correct?Correct.
if we dont have bounty task selected the tracker shows it as "finished", i guess it should be changed to like "Not Active" or smthWill look into this, thank you!
Is that correct, or am i missing the status effect display somewhere while it is actually accessible? This is currently only displayed in the Bounty Task overview on your Taskboard.

Dear Tibians,
I'm bringing some news regarding the Bounty Ring.
The Bounty Ring will be moved from the Ring Slot to the Extra Slot.
This is not live yet and we will inform you once this change has been released.
We will be closely monitoring how this change affects gameplay balance and overall power.
As promised, here are the maximum effects of the Bounty Ring:
Upgrading these effects becomes significantly more expensive at higher levels.
Fully upgrading one of them requires roughly 30,000 Bounty Points.
The Bounty Ring's graphic will also receive a minor update.
Its colors will align with existing logic (for example, red = more damage).
Also, when looking at the number of kills required for a task, please keep in mind that the required number of kills per task has been reduced by 50% for the duration of the testserver.

Fluffey

Dear Tibians,
just popping in to answer some questions.
We will not make any changes regarding the drunk mechanic or add new ways to deal with it. With the bounty ring moving to the extra slot and turning into the bounty talisman the bounty tasks system no longer negatively interacts with dwarven ring / drunk mechanic.
It combines the amount of kills required with their XP with one exception: monsters that grant relatively low XP compared to other monsters of the same bounty difficulty will use an increased XP value for that calculation.
Kill 107 Rootthing amber shaper - Reward 458k
...
The bounty tasks system is completely separate from the weekly task system. They only share a UI.
Things that are still being discussed:

My proposal~As funny as a disco implementation for the bounty talisman would be, it will not be part of the changes.
Keep the bounty ring as the same icon from the task menu window where u can see each color light up individually. when not triggered turns gray kinda like a mood ring~
However the amount of XP is not having any pattern at all for me or I cannot find the proper formula. I would like to see it being improved somehow like: xxx XP (might also be the default number per difficulty level like 20 XP for Beginner, 50 XP for Adept etc.) * amount of kills * difficulty level (*1, *1.2, *1,5 *2)The XP reward calculation for bounty tasks is relatively simple.
It combines the amount of kills required with their XP with one exception: monsters that grant relatively low XP compared to other monsters of the same bounty difficulty will use an increased XP value for that calculation.
Currently, I can do three hunt tasks per day, which earns me approximately 2700 points. With the new system, which I tested, I did two tasks and only earned 100 points, and we'll have to wait 7 days to earn the points. So now it would take approximately 3 weeks of tasks to earn what I can earn in one day. Is that correct, or will they rework the point system?Kill: 110 Lost Berserker - Reward: 412k
----
Will achievements like Monsterhunter and Taskmaster be related to the weekly task or bounty task?
Kill 107 Rootthing amber shaper - Reward 458k
...
The bounty tasks system is completely separate from the weekly task system. They only share a UI.
I believe that killing 110 Lost Berserkers gives a great amount of XP.This is intentional. The system should promote hunting outside of the optimal meta hunts.
But killing 107 Rootthing Amber Shapers doesn't; it's really low XP.
- Could you review how you're calculating this? Also consider the monster's HP?
Does that make sense? The higher the HP, the better the XP too.
can we get confirmation if this ring (now extra slot) item will impact all monsters? The soon renamed and moved bounty talisman will only ever impact your current task monsters. With its movement to the extra slot we are content that it provides enough power and upside for it to be worthwhile for players that use the bounty system.
Hello, good eveningI would like to know if there would be a possibility of adding a bonus percentage to the tasks for players who have a complete bestiary. As of now, we don't see that a interconnection with the bestiary would be beneficial for the system.
For example: a task has a reward of 100,000 EXP and 20 bounty points (without bestiary) --- with a 5% bonus it would become 105,000 EXP and 21 bounty points.
This way, it would give a higher value to people who already have the complete bestiary.
what happens after i finish the task but don't claim the reward? will the bonuses stats still be active? The bonuses are only active while a task is not finished. Even if the reward is unclaimed.
Things that are still being discussed:
- Total kill amounts per tasks
- Adjustment of bounty talisman scaling

Some of the previously announced changes are live on the testserver.
Changelog:
- The Bounty Talisman (formerly known as Bounty Ring) can be equipped in the extra slot.
- The Taskboard is now disabled on Rookgaard.
- If you don't have an active Bounty Task, the Kill Tracker widget will now display inactive instead of finished.
Currently being worked on:
- New graphic for the Bounty Ring Talisman.
- A message now appears in the Server Log whenever the Bounty Ring affects your actions (damage dealt, damage taken, or increased loot).
- Completing a Bounty Task will trigger a banner in the game window.
- Some texts still refer to the Bounty Ring; these will be updated to Talisman.
Also, I'd like to revisit some of your questions and thoughts.
Please don't forget to take a look into the Uncommon Creatures that currently are not part of the reroll/preferred list.Creatures that cannot be selected as prey by default are not included in the pool of creatures eligible for task assignment.
Having a cap on anything in this game is just awful. Just remove the restriction and make this bonuses scale infinitely with a super high cost at certain point. We don't have a concrete plan to share at the moment, but we will consider this.
Finally, since the ring now will be at the extra slot, could it have some lightening effect? The Bounty Talisman functions as a light source. However, as Niadus stated previously, it won't have a disco animation, I'm afraid.

Dear Tibians,
I hope you all had a great weekend.
We've got a few more changes coming to Bounty Tasks:
These changes have not been released yet. We're still working on them and will let you know once they're available on the test server.
Regarding some of your thoughts and questions:

I hope you all had a great weekend.
We've got a few more changes coming to Bounty Tasks:
- Increased number of creatures per task. The average task size will be increased by more than 50%. For the highest difficulty, the number of kills required will be more than doubled. You'll also earn more Bounty Points per task.
- Bounty Talisman scaling further. You can upgrade the Bounty Talisman to twice the previous effect limit. However, upgrades become increasingly expensive. We're talking about a lot of Bounty Points here. If anyone ever manages to fully upgrade it, we'll be both impressed and curious. Reach out to us for a reward and a sanity check.

- Reduced cost to clear a preferred or avoided enemy slot. The cost will be lowered from 300 Bounty Points to 10.
These changes have not been released yet. We're still working on them and will let you know once they're available on the test server.
Regarding some of your thoughts and questions:
The Warzone 1, 2 and 3 received an improvement in the hunting balance project, but there is a thing that they have that is not good if we compare it with other hunting grounds: a few of the creatures inside the warzones are considered "Uncommon".Changing the occurrence of creatures is not part of this update. Adjustments of that scale, if they happen at all, would be part of a balancing patch.
Gold cost to reset preferred creature — instead of spending bounty points to reset a preferred creature slot, make the cost payable in gold; for example, level * 1,000 gold per reset. Thanks for the feedback! This will be addressed with the upcoming changes which massively reduce the cost for a reset.
Please consider adding Hunting Task Points as a reward for completing Bounty Tasks. As mentioned earlier, Bounty Tasks and Weekly Tasks are two separate systems with distinct rewards. We plan to keep it that way.
If there are going to be NEW achievements for a number of Bounty Tasks done for each difficulty...There are not.
For this reason I HIGHLY suggest to completely remove the Reduced Damage effect, alternatively nerf it severely to 15% or lessThose are valid concerns. We're still monitoring the situation and discussing the reduced damage effect internally.
if you compleate for example acid blob task once, does the chance for having it again is getting lowerd? The chance of rolling a task is not reduced after completing that creature previously. However, creatures that are re-rolled cannot be rolled again within the same reroll.

Greetings Tibians,
We've got another update coming to the effects of the Bounty Talisman.
The Damage Reduction effect will be replaced with Life Leech.
We want all effects to encourage active combat against your assigned creature.
Damage Reduction did not achieve this. To maintain a similar defensive feeling, we chose Life Leech instead, as it promotes more active engagement during your assigned Task.
This is currently being worked on. Please check the below changelog for the latest updates.
Changelog:

Damage Prey functions exactly as you described and, in your example, would result in 75% increased damage.

Question, will Bestiary Betterment make it so that you get 4 entries to bestiary when Bounty Talisman procs? The boost is calculated based on the base values. When both a Bounty Talisman proc and Bestiary Betterment are active, you will receive 3 kills for your Bestiary.
Also, how does Bounty Talisman stack with Damage Prey?
Is it just cumulative +25% from Prey, +50% from Bounty talisman = 75% more dmg?
Damage Prey functions exactly as you described and, in your example, would result in 75% increased damage.
im not sure, but i think it is not possible yet to reroll the newly added monsters of the update in the expert/master stage of the bounty task/weekly tasksThis is true for the testserver. These creatures will become part of the creature pool once the Winter Update is released.
the experience will reward also increase according to the growth of more than 50% kills required?Yes, the experience for a task is linked to the number of creatures required.

We're slowly approaching the end of this winter's test server.
At the moment, we're working on two more additions to the system:
- We will implement a Highscore for the total number of Bounty Points earned.
- Creatures from your currently active Bounty Task will be displayed with an icon next to their name in the game window. This makes it easier to identify the monsters you're currently hunting, just like those from your Weekly Tasks, which will also be marked with an icon.
Regarding some of your recent posts:
After you change "Task difficult" combo box, both "Reroll Tasks" and "Claim Daily" buttons stop working.
I think you broke something with re-rolling Bounties today. When I switch Task Difficulty and Click Reroll/Claim Daily, they don't do anything until I re-open the Task Board. Thanks for reporting! One of the recent updates unintentionally broke this functionality, and we're already working on a fix. In the meantime, you can use a temporary workaround: either close and reopen the Task Board, or switch to another tab and then back again.
I still think for these systems to not feel so absolutely convoluted, we NEEED to have badges/banners/neon lights showing when a creature is showing up in two placesThank you for the suggestion! We currently don't have any plans to make adjustments in this area, as we believe it will feel more natural once the Task Board is released and players become familiar with it. In the regular game, you'll reroll Bounty Tasks far less frequently than on the test server with its unlimited rerolls. Additionally, Weekly Tasks will be available for an entire week instead of just one day. This means there will be fewer changes to the creatures, making the experience feel less overwhelming than it might seem right now.
Some time ago maximum capacity of this cards was increased because hunting tasks was added, do you planning change it after update? We currently have no plans to change the maximum number of Prey Wildcards you can own.

We don't have any further major changes planned at the moment, but this thread will remain open until Monday.
While some of the announced additions are still in development and won't make it to the test server, the latest update includes:
- Banners for task completion are now available. They trigger when you defeat the final monster of your selected task.
- The market category of the Bounty Talisman has been updated to decoration, bringing it in line with other extra slot items.
Returning to some of your questions:
Bounty points for the assistant — could you add bounty points to the assistant so we can properly test the reroll option for the preferred list? Right now chances to get a monster from the preferred list seem low (about 6.15% for Master and 3.66% for Expert). Could you make the chance a fixed value for all categories, for example 10%?We don't plan on changing those values, but you are correct that the effect becomes more noticeable at higher difficulties due to the larger pool of creatures.
Too bad that some players (including me ) might be more interested in statistic of HTP than BP. Some of us live only for dragon slayer outfit and will never stop until we get it!Have a look at the Weekly Task thread. You might be pleased. ;-)
Plx change the talisman's category to 'decoration'... by doing so.. it'll be the same as other trinkets and everytime we swap, the items will be sent to the same container. This has now been implemented. The change is live on the test server.
Looks like the life leech effect is only during the weapon attack (auto atk), not on spell/runes. Is that intended? This is not intended and will be fixed. We will also take a look at the Damage effect, to make sure it's working. Thanks for reporting!

Will the talisman count to all monsters, or just the one inside the task? The Bounty Talisman only affects creatures you are currently hunting on a Bounty Task.
Im sorry for the slight off topic issue, but since other player brought it up, could you consider creating the "trinket" category? This won't happen in this update, and we currently have no concrete plans to share on this topic.
Why Ravenous Lava Lurker do not show in Preferred List? It should be a good monster to select in the list suposing Ill hunt it from 100 to 200.Ravenous Lava Lurker are excluded, as well as some other monsters previously mentioned.

Thanks for all of your hard work on this, I wonder if you considered making the 'use' function on the bounty talisman open the bounty window? We currently have no plans to move in that direction.
Do you need to actually wear talisman to be effective or just have it in bp?You need to have the Bounty Talisman equipped. We'll verify the behavior to rule out any bugs. Thanks for reporting!
