Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Which perks can appear in a modified slot?
Click the scroll icon in the upper-right corner of the Shape dialog to view all possible perk options.
  • How can I test this feature without hunting a lot?
The "Testserver Assistant" will provide you with everything you need.
  • Why can't I modify my perks?
Hover over the Modify/Shape button to see the reason why the button is disabled.
Hello everyone,
Thank you for the overwhelming amount of feedback.

We plan to add some missing spells and also reduce the amount skill-based perks.

Loosing all progress on a Perk when reshaping it is a deliberate decision. We do not plan to change that.

We are still discussing some of the other points you brought up.

Thanks again for the great input. Keep it coming.

Cheers,
Elefor & Xolurr
Hey Tibians,

Thanks again for the feedback!

A few things to note:
  • It is currently intended that you can select the same perk twice.
If you really like it and get lucky, we won't stop you. So it's not a bug, but thank you for bringing it up.
  • Each perk has an equal chance of being rolled.
  • If you can't modify a perk, the button's tooltip will tell you why.
I've added that information to the FAQ.
We continue to discuss your suggestions and feedback and look forward to reading more from you.

Have fun,
Elefor
Hey again,

today we released some small adjustments:
  • The Rage of the Skies perk was replaced by the Great Death Beam. If you already had it, it has been updated automatically.
  • We also added perks for the following spells: Executioner's Throw, Divine Missile, Great Energy Beam, Forked Thorns, Mystic Repulse.
Cheers,
Elefor
Hey Tibians,

Again, thanks for your detailed thoughts on all of these topics. Your feedback and ideas are really helpful.

Have fun and enjoy the weekend. See you next week!

Dear Tibians,

we want to answer some points you brought up:

I believe the scenario regarding "fiendsh creatures" will become extremely chaotic and unsustainable after the new mechanics for using dusts.
The Echo Raids introduce a new source of influenced creatures and therefore increase the amount of dust you can gather.

Players should be able to choose from three different perks the very first time they modify a proficiency.
This suggestion also came up a few times. We discussed it but will keep the current implementation.

[...] clearing a proficiency should refund at least part of the invested dust.
We also heard your opinions about encouraging experimentation and the request to preserve at least some progress.
After discussing your feedback, we decided to change how reshaping works: reshaping a perk will no longer reroll its rank. Instead, the newly rolled perk will inherit the rank of the previous one.
In other words, rerolling a perk will no longer reset its progress.
This change will land in a future update.

Thank you again for all your constructive feedback!

Elefor

I was testing this new Homing Missile and again, having it fly off and hit a mushroom or dark energy pillar in a boss room feels BAD
to keep this thread on topic, please report a bug instead.
Thanks,
Elefor
Hey again,

with today's update we will add perks that target your highest combat skill level instead of a specific one.
The existing skill level perks can no longer be rolled. They will remain in the modified perk slots if you rolled them previously, but they will no longer provide any bonus.

Regarding dust conversion: As some of you have already mentioned, dust is a character-bound resource, and we have no plans to change that.

Please let us know what you think about the changed perks, and have fun!

This is just one of the perks that we removed yesterday in favor of the more flexible "Highest Skill Level" perks.
There is no automated replacement on the test server, so existing perks remain in your proficiency tree.
Feel free to just reshape your perk.

Thank you for bringing it up!

Sorry for the inconvenience,
Elefor
Dear Tibians,

today we will tune down the maximum value for many shaped perks. You can always check the exact values in the client UI.
Mana on Hit can no longer be rolled.

Additionally, some small UI improvements and adjustments were implemented over the last updates.

Hey again,

The only thing is, Shielding was not taken into cosideration as "highest combat skill" so you will actualy heal less from the perks in "Utamo Tempo" stance.
This is a bug and will be fixed in a future update. The "Highest Skill Level" perk will include Magic, Fist, Club, Sword, Axe, Distance and Shielding.

Dear Tibians,

Thank you very much for taking part and for the extensive and valuable feedback!
Rest assured that we read all your comments and discussed your suggestions, even if we did not respond to each one directly.

This was the first thread that I maintained, and I had a lot of fun sharing updates I knew you would either like or not be quite as happy about. I was especially pleased to read your detailed comments on specific details you spotted, both in UI and gameplay features.

Just as last time, Xolurr is preparing a labyrinth for the Monster Rampage and is looking forward to watching you jump into the blender.

Thanks again and have fun!
