Dear Tibians!
Please use this thread to share your feedback on the Discovery System improvements, which are part of the Summer Update 2026.
Vision:
The Discovery System will be simplified to make exploration more seamless and easier to follow. As an additional reward, fully discovered areas will grant characters a speed bonus.
More Information:
You can learn more about the Discovery System improvements in the teaser and its corresponding forum thread. Please note that some of the information in these links might now be outdated.
Overview:
All subareas will now be active for your character automatically. You will no longer have to manually start discoveries for individual areas in the Cyclopedia.
Once you have found all points of interest in a subarea, a new game window info banner will let you know. You will still be able to reset points of interest for a subarea through the Cyclopedia whenever you like. Messages and quest texts related to discoveries will also be adjusted to better fit the new system.
To make discoveries more rewarding, fully discovering areas will now grant your character additional speed in those areas. The more areas you have fully discovered, the stronger this bonus becomes, ranging from 100 to 195 speed. You will be able to see an explanation of this reward and its current value in a tooltip in the Cyclopedia map.
When giving feedback, please consider this:
If you have suggestions or concerns, please help us by explaining your perspective. We'll do our best to incorporate your feedback!
Thank you for taking the time to explore and test the new features.
We look forward to your feedback!
Greetings,
Sythrak

Dear Tibians!
Thank you all for your feedback regarding the Discovery System.
Based on your suggestions, we will make some changes to improve the usability of the Discovery System.
Speed Bonus Tooltip
The Bonus Speed tooltip in the Cyclopedia Map dialog will be moved from the UI panel "Subarea" to the panel "Navigation". This way, the tooltip will always be accessible, regardless of the current map view or selection.
Subarea Left Message
A new server log message will be shown when you leave a subarea that has not yet been fully discovered.
A Fixes & Changes update will be published once these changes are released.
Rewards and Speed Bonus Feedback
Your feedback regarding rewards and the speed bonus is still under review.

Answers to some of your questions:
I wonder if echo raids are related to the discovery system in any way... I got this impression from the teaser. I mean, "echoes of the past"...No, they are not related.
The Rookgaard map currently shows as "not discoverable" in the interface. Is this a bug? If it is intentional, it is completely unnecessary and should be enabled to allow gaining the speed increase. No, this is not a bug. Rookgaard is not discoverable.
Is Discovering in Marapur currently have a bug? I discovered the three new areas of Salgadara, Thalassara Surroundings and Moonstone Crater and it still shows Marapur at 85% when I previously had all of Marapur done on live servers.Maybe try out the new quests, as they may help you discover Marapur further. Not everything that is discoverable can be selected directly on the map.
Nothing else appears to be selectable?
Happy testing,
Sythrak

Dear Tibians!
We have reviewed the feedback you shared with us regarding the Discovery System and we would like to provide an update.
For this summer update, we will not be making further changes to the Discovery System. This is not a rejection of the suggestions you have raised; several of the ideas were interesting points. However, they require careful evaluation to decide if and how any of them could be implemented, including their impact on other systems and mechanics.
We will keep your suggestions in mind and consider them for future updates.
Thank you for testing and taking the time to share your thoughts; it really helps us shape what comes next.
This will be my closing post.
Have fun exploring all the new content and features of the summer update!
Cheers,
Sythrak
