Dear Tibians!

Please use this thread to share your feedback on the two new sets of sorcerer stances Master of Flames, Master of Thunder and Master of Decay as well as Sap Strength and Expose Weakness. Sorcerers will become the only vocation that can have two stances active at the same time. One of each set.
Stances additionally received quality of life changes detailed here Stances - Quality of Life.

Crippling stances:
Two support spells are turned into passive stances:

Sap Strength:
Your spells, runes and auto attacks apply Sap Strength to their targets, reducing the damage they deal by 10%.
Expose Weakness:
Your spells, runes and auto attacks apply Expose Weakness to their targets, granting 8% elemental pierce to attackers.

Elemental stances
Increase the effects for matching elemental spells and allows sorcerers to manipulate the elements on non-matching spells by weaving their spells. There are three elemental stances:

Master of Flames:
Increases the base power of natural fire spells by 4%.
Additionally, whenever you cast a fire spell, change the damage of your next non-fire spell into fire.

Master of Thunder:
Increases the critical hit chance of natural energy spells by 4%.
Additionally, whenever you cast an energy spell, change the damage of your next non-energy spell into energy.

Master of Decay:
Increases the critical extra damage of natural death spells by 30%.
Additionally, whenever you cast a death spell, change the damage of your next non-death spell into death.

Goal:
Crippling stances reduce the required input and mental load while at the same time increasing the ease of application of these debuffs.
Elemental stances should provide sorcerers with a sizable power boost by allowing them to create rotations that make better use of a creature's sensitivity.

We look forward to your feedback!

Greetings,

In the Master of Thunder description you don't specify "natural" energy spells as in the other two stances' descriptions - does that mean that for example a Great Fire Wave that deals energy damage due to Master of Thunder will also benefit from the extra critical hit chance?
This was a mistake on my part. I fixed the initial post. Master of Thunder works like the others.

Also, how will the elemental conversions work with proficiency perks? In the same example, would that converted Great Fire Wave benefit from Sanguine Coil's extra 2% critical hit chance to energy spells/runes?
The converted spells are still considered their original element for all purposes except their damage.

Expose Weakness was buffed in Winter Update 2025 to 8% - is it going back to 4% or just a typo?
You are right. Fixed it in the initial post.

Using Master of Flames Stance:
If I Fire Wave --> GFB --> Fire Wave --> Energy Wave the Energy Wave should be Fire DMG but it stays normal Energy Wave. I can Reproduce this every Time i try it out.
This seems to be a bug. The expected result would be a converted Energy Wave.
Thank you for all the feedback so far.
Please read up on the changes for test phase II (Link) as well as our focal points (Link).

We are eager for more feedback based on these posts.
