Welcome to the third test phase. For this phase, we have made several major changes and would like to take a closer look at how all of these changes work together.
General
Knight
Paladin
Sorcerer
Druid
Monk
To keep the topics easier to follow and to make sure your feedback reaches the right place, we've closed the old threads and created a new thread for each vocation.
Please use the dedicated vocation threads going forward. Thanks for helping us keep the discussion clear and organised!
General
- Runes are back to their original size and had their damage reduced. All four runes (Avalanche, Great Fireball, Thunderstorm and Stone Shower) now have the same base power of 50.
Dev-Comment: We hope to provide non-rune alternatives for each vocation that previously used runes. However at the same time we do not want to insist on forcing players to adjust their playstyle.
- Mana Buffer now consumes 8% of your maximum mana in addition to the amount resulting from the converted damage.
Dev-Comment: While we still like how mana buffer improves the survivability of Sorcerers and Druids we want to increase the punishment for having it triggered. In the end it still prevented a death and as such will always be very valuable.
Knight
- Chivalrous Challenge outer radius has been increased.
Dev-Comment: We want to try out a third version of this spell and then choose/improve the favored version. It is important for us that Chivalrous Challenge does not just become a strictly better challenge and instead has its intended role of ranged creature management improved.
- Added Shield Slam to the Wheel of Destiny replacing Chivalrous Challenge (This change is functional, however the text and icons in the wheel have not been adjusted yet):
I: +8% base damage
II: +25% damage reduction (For a total of 75%)
- Protector now reduces your damage done by 15% (Was 30%). This is a buff.
Paladin
- Sharpshooter: All values adjusted:
- +30% distance fighting (Down from 35%)
- Gain 3% of your distance skill as holy magic level (Down from 5%)
- Healing reduction increased to 25% (Was 15%)
- +30% distance fighting (Down from 35%)
Sorcerer
- Great Death Beam now has the same length, cooldown and base power as its energy counter part. Beam Mastery now no longer upgrades length, cooldown or base power of Great Death Beam. Great Death Beam is still affected by the rest of the bonuses of Beam Mastery and works exactly like Great Energy Beam in this regard.
- Energy Wave augments have been switched in the Wheel of Destiny:
I: Affected area enlarged (This was previously augment II)
II: +10% base damage (This was previously augment I and 5%)
Druid
- Forked Glacier/Forked Thorns: Initial target range has been increased to 7 (Was 5) and jump range has been increased to 6 (Was 4)
Dev-Comment: We want to try out a version that is extremely consistent and easy to use
Monk
- The Way of the Monk quest bonuses have been expanded. In addition to granting up to 100% increased damage for autoattacks each shrine now grants 3% damage reduction against melee auto attacks. (Up to a total of 30%).
Dev-Comment: We want to improve the survivability of monks allowing them to be a true melee vocation without removing the kite and kill playstyle. This damage reduction should allow monks a lot more leeway while wallboxed and unlock some hunting grounds for monks in which they were previously punished by their low armor and physicial resistance.
- Increased jump range of Chained Penance and Spiritual Outburst by 1. This does not affect the range to the initial target.
- Mass Spirit Mend augment II: Now -4 seconds cooldown (Was increased area)
